Senecio compacta Drysdale

One of my favourite plants in the garden at the moment is this Senecio compacta Drysdale, which I bought earlier in the year. I just love the greeny-grey leaves with the white edging, as the contrast between the two colours is so effective and unusual. According to the information I have, the plant produces yellow flowers in summer, though there's no sign of any of these yet - perhaps I'll have to wait until next year for those. It's also supposed to be especially suitable for coastal areas, and though we are about eight miles from the coast here, it does seem to be a helpful attribute when choosing plants for this windy site close to the tidal River Tyne! At any rate, the Senecio's doing rather well, which I'm pleased about it. However, it apparently needs to be protected from frost, so my cloches and wrapping will have to make an appearance come the winter.
There really doesn't seem to be much about Senecio compacta Drysdale on the web - Google brings up less than a hundred results - so if anyone else has this plant in their garden I'd be keen to hear your experiences!
